Reduce a photo to 20 KB, 50 KB, 100 KB or 200 KB
Online application forms — exams, jobs, scholarships, passports and ID cards — often ask for a photo or signature “under 50 KB” or “between 20 and 100 KB”. Choose the limit and the tool finds the highest quality that fits, reducing the dimensions only if quality alone isn't enough. The result is a JPG, the format these forms accept. For the most common cases there are ready pages: 20 KB, 50 KB and the exam photo and signature resizer.
Lighter images for websites, email and chat
A phone photo can be 3 to 8 MB. For a website, an online shop, a blog or an email, 200–500 KB looks the same on screen and loads much faster. In More options you can also convert to WebP (even smaller) and limit the width to 1920, 1280 or 800 px.
PNG files
PNG is a lossless format, so it can't be compressed much while staying PNG. To make a PNG much lighter, choose JPG or WebP as the output format (WebP keeps the transparent background).
Private
The images are compressed in your browser — they're never uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
How do I compress a photo to under 50 KB?
Choose 50 KB under “Must fit a size limit?” and click Compress images. The tool finds the best quality that fits.
Will the image lose quality?
At the default quality the difference is hard to see. With a small size limit, the tool keeps as much quality as possible and reduces the dimensions only if needed.
Can I compress several images at once?
Yes. Choose them all; you can download them one by one or in a .zip.
Does it work with iPhone photos?
Yes. HEIC photos are converted and compressed to JPG.
Is it free?
Yes, with no limits and no sign-up.
