How to convert HEIC to JPG

  3. Download the photos one by one or in a .zip.

Why iPhone photos are HEIC

iPhones save photos in HEIC (or HEIF) to take less space. The problem is that many Windows computers, older Android phones and lots of upload forms don't open that format. JPG works everywhere.

Stop it happening

On the iPhone, go to Settings › Camera › Formats and choose Most Compatible: new photos will be saved as JPG. Photos you already took stay HEIC, and that's where this converter comes in.

Private

The conversion happens in your browser; your photos aren't uploaded. In browsers that can't open HEIC on their own, a small conversion component is downloaded once (only the program — your photos stay on your device).
