How to make a 2×2 photo
- Take the photo against a plain white or off-white background, in even light, facing the camera with both eyes open and no glasses. Have someone else take it, a few feet away from you.
- Click Choose photo and keep the 2×2 in format. Position the square so the head (chin to top of hair) takes up about half to two-thirds of the height.
- Click Make 2×2 photo. You get the photo and a 4 × 6 in sheet with two copies.
- Print the sheet at actual size (100%) on matte or glossy photo paper, and cut.
US passport photo requirements (State Department)
- Size: 2 × 2 inches (51 × 51 mm).
- Head: 1 to 1⅜ inches (25–35 mm) from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head.
